Shipping Policy

Chocolate is a delicate thing to send through the mail, so we take a little extra care with every shipment. Here is what to expect when you order online.

Where we ship

We ship anywhere within Canada. At this time we are not able to offer international shipping. If you are outside Canada and would like to send a gift, please get in touch and we will do what we can to help.

Seasonal shipping window

To protect your chocolates from summer heat, we ship only during the cooler months, from October through April. Bonbons will melt above 26C, so shipping outside this window puts your order at risk. During the warmer months you are very welcome to visit us in Bala or arrange a local pickup.

Shipping rate

We charge a flat rate of $15.00 for shipping anywhere in Canada.

Delivery times

Once your order is on its way, typical courier transit times are:

• 1 to 2 days within Ontario
• 3 to 5 days to other provinces

We will provide a tracking number so you can follow your shipment. Please note that transit times are set by the courier and are outside our control, so we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date.

Getting your address right

Please double check your mailing address at checkout. Accurate address information is the responsibility of the customer, and we cannot be held liable for delays caused by couriers or other third parties once an order has left our shop.

Local pickup

You are always welcome to collect your order in person at our shop at 1004 Elm St in Bala, open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm. Pickup is a lovely option any time of year, and especially during the summer months when we pause shipping.

Keeping your chocolates fresh on arrival

Our bonbons travel well for a few days as long as they are kept cool and out of direct sun. Once your order arrives, we recommend refrigerating your chocolates in an airtight container and enjoying them within about four weeks for the best flavour.
